Yet another successful Pipe Symposium at Cincinnati

SCITEQ had the privilege to demonstrate our online measuring system, the X-ACT TwinEye on an Alu-PE-RT extrusion line from Maintools. A 5-layer composite pipe with overlapping welding was produced on this line. It was a great success and potential customers got an insight into all the possibilities and advantages of the TwinEye.

The TwinEye is capable of measuring both single and multilayer pipes. It is an on-line measuring system ensuring cost-effective production with high accuracy. No calibration or water as a contact medium is needed and the system is not affected by temperature changes. The TwinEye can be used for production documentation and quality control on-line.

The following data can be achieved by means of the TwinEye regarding on-line measurement of multilayer pipes: Outer diameter, inner diameter, total wall thickness, individual layer thicknesses and calculated ovality.

This tool is unique in character and essential in the constant battle of keeping production and material costs at a minimum in order to remain as competitive as possible.
