Successful SCITEQ installation of XACT 450 SL at Eurotubi in Italy:

Eurotubi is a producer of a wide range of PE pipes, and situated in the Milan area. In order to improve the control of their PE lines they have invested in the first Xact 455 SL for measuring up to 450 mm monolayer PE pipes. The results are quite impressive, as Eurotubi explains :

 “We at Eurotubi has in summer 2006 installed the big X-ray scanner from SCITEQ called the Xact 455 SL. The unit has proven to be very reliable in measurements and given us big confidence in the measurements we make on-line. We make many shifts on the extruder, which is a big advantage using this unit, as we very fast get results and do not spend any time at adjusting the scanner when changing dimensions.”

SCITEQ now covers the following range in on-line measuring systems :

Monolayer PE from 10 to 450 mm diameter
Monolayer PVC from 10 to 450 mm diameter (max. wall 20 mm)
A wide range of Multilayer pipes from Alu-pex up to Ø 75 mm and foam Core PVC pipes up to Ø 200 mm
